PANAMA CITY, Fla., Dec. 4, 2024 — Chaos Audio’s innovative Stratus multi-effects guitar pedal is making waves once again as the company relaunches the product, accompanied by a robust suite of 39 effects plugins compatible with both the pedal and desktop platforms.
Initially introduced in late 2022, the Stratus pedal has gained widespread acclaim among musicians for its versatility and user-friendly design. This sentiment is echoed by accomplished artists Bobby Joe Witt and David Zumsteg, who rely on the Stratus pedal to enhance their musical endeavors.
Witt, a studio owner, singer-songwriter, and frontman for the Christian metalcore band To Fight For, has been a vocal advocate of the pedal. With a background in various genres, including country, jazz, and rap, Witt appreciates the Stratus for its ability to streamline his workflow.
“I saw the Stratus and thought, ‘With this, you can actually build full signal chains in one pedal. How cool is that?’” Witt said. “It sounds great and meets my needs in the studio and on stage. For me, Stratus is a staple.”
Witt also praised the pedal’s accessibility, highlighting its appeal to both novice and seasoned musicians. “If you know how to use Bluetooth, you can adjust all the effects right there,” he added.
Zumsteg, owner of 442 Studios in Los Angeles, also uses the Stratus pedal extensively for composing, recording, and live performances. He lauded Chaos Audio’s responsiveness to user feedback.
“The customer service is absolutely spectacular,” Zumsteg said. “It’s what sold me on not one, but two Strati.”
This user-driven approach has fueled several enhancements to the Stratus pedal, including hands-free preset switching and AI-powered amp modeling, which the company credits as key factors in the relaunch.
Chaos Audio founder and CEO Landon McCoy emphasized the demand for the new plugins, which include a free Starlight shimmer reverb plugin offered in exchange for email signups. The campaign garnered over 12,500 participants, underscoring the pedal’s growing popularity.
The Stratus pedal and Chaos Audio Plugin Bundle are competitively priced at $249 each. During Cyber Monday week, the pedal is discounted to $219, with the plugin bundle available for an additional $80.
McCoy highlighted the cross-platform advantage of Chaos Audio’s plugins. “When you buy a plugin—or all of them—for Stratus, you can also use them on your Mac or PC. No other company offers such a deal,” he said.
With a strong focus on innovation and community-driven development, Chaos Audio aims to cement Stratus as an essential tool for musicians at every level.
